River Cleanups
Trash in the river can make water quality and recreational access unsafe. Each year the WRP coordinates river cleanups at public access sites to keep the White River clean and accessible for recreational use.
In 2017 the WRP worked with partners and 35 volunteers to remove 1,500 pounds of man-made trash from river access sites on the White River in Royalton and Sharon and the Third Branch in Randolph.
Interested in helping out? We provide 2 options for individuals and groups:
- Contact us to schedule a cleanup event with a community or school group.
- Sign-up to receive WRP river cleanup event announcements via our e-newsletter (see form on right-side of this screen).
